Therapeutic Bathtubs: comfort, dignity, and care
Regular bathing is essential to health and dignity, but it’s one of the most time-consuming and physically demanding tasks in long-term care. Many of our residents cannot bathe independently and rely on specially designed therapeutic tubs that provide comfort and support while allowing staff to lift them safely.
Over time, these tubs wear out and must be replaced — yet this is not something we receive regular funding for.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we’ve already replaced the three most urgent tubs at Rosehaven Provincial Program in Camrose: Memory Lane, Eastview, and Westview. Each tub costs over $40,000, making this no small achievement.
Our goal is to upgrade or replace a total of 22 tubs across our sites with high-quality Penner Bathing systems. This is a major undertaking — and we need your help to make it possible.
