Rosehaven Outbreak

May 13, 2022

As previously reported, the outbreaks in West Court Lane and Westview units have been closed. Eastview remains in outbreak but with no new positive cases in residents or staff and we have a tentative lift date for the Eastview outbreak of May 23

May 10, 2022

We are elated to share that the as of today, May 10th, the outbreaks at West Court Lane and Westview have officially been closed. We want to sincerely thank you for your patience, compliance, and understanding as we navigated this outbreak as we know it was especially challenging over the Easter holiday. The outbreak at Eastview remains with no new positive cases to report.


May 6th, 2022

We are saddened to share that we have an additional 12 new positive resident cases, bringing out total to 50 resident cases. We also have an additional 3 positive staff members, bringing that total to 20 staff cases. 

Our next meeting with Alberta Health Services is scheduled for May 11th and our tentative outbreak lift date is May 23rd.


May 2nd, 2022

We are able to provide the following update:

  • 6 new positive residents, 38 total positive resident cases
  • 17 staff members have tested positive in total
  • Westview and West Court Lane residents are off precautions and 1 on 1 hairdressing services and low risk group activities may resume
  • Eastview residents continue to be on precautions and are awaiting the results of prevalence testing

We have a potential outbreak closure date of May 15th.


 

April 22, 2022

Following prevalence testing, we have 32 positive residents and 15 positive staff members. The CDC is recommending we now move forward with symptomatic testing only, so there will be no more prevalence testing. We have a tentative life date of May 4th, 2022. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

 


April 14, 2022

At this time we can provide the following update:

  • West Court Lane = 23 residents positive; Westview 8 residents (3 tests outstanding)
  • Staff = 10 staff total, with most having returned to work already
  • All current restrictions remain in place

Another round of prevalence testing will take place for Westview only.


 

April 8, 2022

Following the second round of prevalence testing, 21 residents on West Court Lane and 4 residents on Westview have tested positive for COVID19, as well as 7 total staff members. We are grateful to report that most are mild or asymptomatic. The third round of prevalence testing has been scheduled for Saturday, April 9th and our next scheduled meeting with Alberta Health Services will take place next week. Updates will be provided here as we receive them and we want to thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

 


 

April 6, 2022

As you may know, on March 29, 2022, Alberta Health Services declared an outbreak at Rosehaven West Court Lane. We are saddened to share that as a result of 2 residents testing positive in West View, Alberta Health Services has officially extended the outbreak to include West View. The restrictions are the same as those outlined below.


March 29, 2022

We are saddened to share that despite our best efforts, COVID has found its way into our building and as of March 29, 2022, Alberta Health Services has officially declared an outbreak at Rosehaven West Court Lane. This outbreak has been declared as a result of 2 staff members testing positive and prevalence testing has been ordered for the residents and will take place on site soon.

Due to this outbreak, Alberta Health Services has outlined the following restrictions:

  • Hairdressing is on hold until the results of the prevalence testing are known
  • Social visiting is restricted for the time being and only designated family/support persons will be permitted to visit at this time
  • Group activities will be limited for the time being
  • Community appointments will be on hold, unless for medically essential reasons
  • Residents will dine on the unit to reduce mobility throughout the site
